In order to mitigate disastrous natural hazards, it is necessary to survey near-surface structure and phenomena as quickly as
possible. For this purpose we have developed an integrated airborne geophysical survey system, which incorporates
electromagnetic, magnetic, gamma-ray spectrometry and infrared image data. In our system, we adopted a grounded electrical
source and an airborne magnetic field receiver to increase the depth of investigation and could gain resistivity structure as
deep as 800 m with the coverage of 20 square km in Aso volcano, Kyushu Island. As for magnetic survey, we used two magnetic
sensors with vertical separation of 10 m and obtained magnetic and magnetic gradient maps. We also gained gamma-ray and
infrared image maps for the same survey area in Aso in 2004. We will repeat our survey in Aso to test the reproducibility of
our data and also apply it to Bandai volcano in 2005.
