Control theory has developed a collection of tools that can be used to better understand the behavior of complex,
interconnected systems. This talk provides an introduction to some of the control theory tools relevant to climate dynamics.
Specific concepts that will be described include input/output modeling, modeling reduction, and analysis in the presence of
unmodeled dynamics.
