The SIESS package aboard the DMSP spacecraft is ideally suited for in situ measurements of plasma density, composition, and
temperature. Solar eclipses perturb the ionosphere by disrupting photoproduction and heating in a relatively small region
for a short period of time, potenitally disrupting transport of plasma from one region to another. We use DMSP data to
examine the effects on relative ion concentration and temperature of two eclipses that occurred under different solar
conditions.
