AB: The IGS celebrates ten years of successful service this year as an official orrganization of the International Association of Geodesy. This talk will feature the recent and long-term advances in the IGS most relevant to supporting the Earth and Geophysical sciences. The results of a recent workshop and symposium celebrating the ten year anniversary of the IGS will be summarized. These will focus on the new recommendations which provide the framework for continued improvements necessary to meet the demanding requirements of science and applications. IGS plans for integrating the new European Galileo GNSS will be discussed.
