Researchers create an educational documentary for classrooms showing students how global climate change is
altering the lives of Adelie penguins. Classes are able to view baby Adelie penguins grow on a daily basis as
researchers post pictures of selected nests everyday onto an interactive website. Students maintain a virtual field
journal gathering their own data and making predictions about these penguins and their ability to raise their
young and survive in this harsh environment. The interactive website includes many opportunities for students to
become engaged with the researchers, live from their remote field camp in Antarctica.
