The spatio-temporal resolution of GRACE is altered by a variety of windowing filters acting on the satellite data.
Shorter time scales are resolved at limited cost in terms of spatial resolution and data quality, thus allowing
GRACE to recover sub-monthly variations in gravity. The error characteristics of these filters are presented, and
the spectra of their effects on the mass-transport signal are analyzed both regionally and globally.
