TI: Current Status of Legislative Proposals on Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Alternative Energy in the U.S. Congress

AB: The 110th Congress is now beginning to grapple with the issue of human-induced climate change and what, if anything, to do about it. A number of bills are currently being considered that would limit greenhouse gas emissions using various policy mechanisms and over various time frames. With a commitment by the current Congressional leadership to pass legislation addressing global warming, and significant hurdles remaining, it promises to be an eventful fall session. I will review the current status of these legislative proposals and their prospects of becoming law.
