Different scenarios taking into account key forcings (Solar activity, volcanic activity, different greenhouse gases, as
well as combinations of these) has been selected for the IPCC for understanding their respective impact in the
global climate of the 20th century and possible effect in futures climates. In this research we show the results
related with the atmospheric angular momentum computed from the different model runs (more than 50 different
runs) under different scenarios performed by NCAR coupled models, which simulated the 20th century climate
variability. We investigated particularly the difference in the role played at decadal time scales and trend of the
solar and volcanic forcings.
