TI: Space-time Scaling of Radar Precipitation

AB: Radar measurements offer a space-time detailed image of precipitation. Spatial and temporal scaling properties of these datasets are compared to those obtained from point observations. A dataset of 2 years radar observations in South-West Germany is used for this purpose. The influence of random measurement errors, spatially dependent support of the radar measurements and the temporal representativity of the measurements is investigated to explain the differences of the results.
