Isolated Variable Transformer

  • TOPSIDE USE
  • FOCUS ON SAFETY
  • RUGGED AND DURABLE
  • 600 VA (WATTS)

Summary

The Isolated Variable Transformer provides isolated power to topside equipment as well as variable power for underwater lighting. A class F-1, 600 VA rated isolation transformer provides ample power for most on-site applications. The unit is designed to be used with a GFCI in line with the supply to provide additional electrical safety protection.

The varible transformer outputs electrically quiet, continuously and evenly variable power. Unlike SCR-type dimmers, the variable transformer does not generate high frequency switching noise that can interfere with underwater video and communications. This unit also provides the ability to boost the variable output voltage by as much as 15 percent to compensate for long cable voltage losses.

The Isolated Variable Transformer comes in a durable, splash resistant aluminum case with a convenient carrying handle. There are dual output receptacles for both the fixed and variable outputs, as well as a universal-type detachable AC input cord. Internal components are mounted onto a non-conducting fiberglass plate to provide an additional level of electrical isolation and safety.
