Summary

The 1200W SeaArc2 HMI underwater luminaire is the highest performance light source for underwater imaging systems today. The 1200W SeaArc2 HMI utilizes a 1200W Vapor Arc Discharge lamp providing for a near-daylight visible spectral output of light. The pressure housing is constructed of 6AL-4V titanium and quartz glass, which allows the luminaire to operate at a depth of 6,000 meters (20,000 feet).

A 1200W Vapor Arc Discharge lamp produces more than 100,000 lumens of radiant light output, which is 4-1/2 times more efficient than that of conventional tungsten-halogen incandescent light sources. This light source is ideal for commercial lighting applications due to its high efficiency and continuous visible spectral output of light.

The 1200W SeaArc2 HMI luminaire’s pressure housing and endcap assembly are constructed from 6AL-4V titanium and the lamp is encapsulated in a quartz glass envelope. The endcap assembly incorporates two pressure relief valves for nitrogen purging and has an LPBH4MP connector.

The 1200W SeaArc2 HMI luminaire is available with three different optical configurations to satisfy different performance demands. The high intensity of light emission is controlled and directed with three types of reflectors: wide, medium, and spot.
