When assembled, the elevation grids, sounding-density grids and their corresponding digital images equate to hundreds of megabytes of data per gridding region. At this time, the most practical media for distributing this data set is via CD/DVD.
Each CD/DVD is set up with five data directories. The first directory contains the elevation grids, a second the sounding-density grids, a third the JPEG images of the elevation grids, a fourth the GIF images of the sounding-density grids, and the fifth the radius grids. The CD/DVD also contains an additional directory with software for easily navigating the CD/DVD, viewing the grids, and modifying them before copying them onto the hard disk.
