Headers can be viewed for any completed Search. Select Task -> Retrieve Headers from the menu bar. Headers for surveys identified by your Search will be displayed in the Header Window and also saved in a file.
There are two header display windows (page 1 of 2, page 2 of 2) for each survey, including commands/buttons to move through the Headers found by the Search. In Windows, hold the mouse cursor over individual fields to see a description for the fields.
Each Header is made up of fields of specified length and format which
describe some aspect of the survey documentation.
You may examine all the individual header fields by inspecting:
MGD77 Header Field Descriptions
HYD93 Header Field Descriptions
ARO88 Header Field Descriptions
mgd77.txt: MGD77 Format (Marine Trackline Geophysical
Data)
hyd93.txt: HYD93 Format (Hydrographic Surveys
Data)
aro88.txt: ARO88 Format (Aeromagnetic Surveys
Data)
Start - This command/button returns the window to the first header from your Search.
Previous - This command/button backs up to the previous header.
Next - This command/button advances one header.
End - This command/button advances to the last header.

When you run Task Retrieve Headers, an ASCII file is
saved in your working directory with the following naming convention:
Marine Trackline Geophysics Header file: [Search KEY].h77
Hydrographic Survey Header file: [Search KEY].h93
Aeromagnetic Survey Header file: [Search KEY].h88
