GEODAS uses a series of Inventory and Coastlines files to Search and graphically
display the data. The Inventories are an abstract of the actual data records in
the various GEODAS Databases. Thus Searches, Plots, Header
displays etc. do not have to access the extensive data files, but rather these
Tasks (except Download) need only access the smaller (and quicker) Inventories.
The Inventory and Source/Project/Platform Codes files for the 3 main databases
are:
trkdas.inv and trkdas.cod (Marine Trackline
Geophysics)
hydnos.inv and hydnos.cod (NOS Hydrographic
Surveys)
arodas.inv and arodas.cod (Aeromagnetic
Surveys Data)
Several Coastline files are used by the GEODAS software. The
file used is determined automatically by GEODAS, according to
how much resolution is needed for the plot. For detailed information see:

hersey.b00 - Worldwide Hersey Low Res. 1:120 million
wvs1mres.b00 - World Vector Shoreline subset at 1:1million resolution (altered)
nosconus.b00 - NOS Medium Resolution Continental US shoreline (altered)
