Legend Window:
If you chose a Color Plotting Option, the Legend window will
list the following:
for Color by Source - Source names
for Color by Platform/Project - platform
or project names
for Color by Survey - the NGDC Number
and Survey ID
For MS Windows, moving the mouse over Legend Items will give meta-data information about the item.
Clicking Legend Items will highlight the plotted data for the legend item(s). For MS Windows, to un-highlight
the item(s) simply click the Re-Plot Button or use menu: File -> Re-Plot.
Menu Choices:
File... Next - to view the next survey, source, platform/project
if you have chosen to separate them into different screens with a Framing Option.
File... Exit - to exit the Plotting Task.
View... Undo - to undo the last Zoom
View...Zoom - Zoom the map view in and out with either
mouse or dialog:
(a) choose Drag Box w/Mouse, place mouse cursor on
map, hold down mouse Button 1, drag mouse to another position, release
mouse button to define zoom area, or
(b) choose Dialog Lat/Lon Entry to use keyboard to
define top-bottom-left-right limits of zoom area. Enter latitudes
and longitudes in decimal degrees, with up to 3 decimal places.
View...Original Area - to display plot with area limits
used before zooming
The resulting plot(s) are in Cylindrical Equidistant Projection.
They contain a title appropriate to the
Plot Framing as follows:
Search Key
Search Title
Parameter plotted
Projection
Source or Project ID
Platform
NGDC Number
Survey ID
