Louis J. Marra

Louis J. Marra was born in Brooklyn, NY, in 1957. He received the B. S. degree in 1979 from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, New York, NY, and the M. S. degree in mechanical engineering in 1981 from Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA.

He joined AT&T Bell Laboratories, Holmdel, NJ, in 1981, initially working on the design and manufacture of undersea repeaters. Since 1983, he has been working on the design of fiber-optic undersea cables.

Mr. Marra is a member of Tau Beta Pi and Pi Tau Sigma.
