Robert H. Hill has been engaged for several years at the Naval Research Laboratory in a program of experimental research related to physical processes in the upper ocean. His interests have included air-sea interactions and, since 1978, acoustic remote sensing of the velocity field. He did his undergraduate work at Mississippi State University (B.S., physics, 1958) and graduate work at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
