Michael P. Hayes received the B.E. degree in electrical and electronic engineering in 1985, and the Ph.D. degree in 1990 from the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand.Dr. Hayes is currently a Scientist in the Machine Vision Team of Industrial Research Ltd., Christchurch, with research interests in the fields of laser scanning, and airborne and underwater ultrasonic imaging.
