Tai-Kwan Lau received B.S. degrees in mathematics and computer science in 1980, the M.S. degree in mathematics in 1982, and the M.A. degree in operations research in 1987, all from Oregon State University, Corvallis.He has worked as a Senior Computer Programmer with NOAA's VENTS research program since 1985. His professional interests include automated cartography and numerical analysis.
