Young-Soo Kim (S'79-M'84) was born in Seoul, Korea, on January 23, 1952. He received the B.S. degree in electronics engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, in 1974. He received the M.S.E.E. degree in electrical engineering in 1980 and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering in 1983 from the University of Kansas, Lawrence.From 1974 to 1977 he worked at the Agency for Defense Development, Korea, on military communications equipment. He was with the Remote Sensing Laboratory at the University of Kansas from 1978 to 1983, developing microwave systems and models for radar remote sensing. He is now an Assistant Professor at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL. His current research interests involve microwave remote sensing and electromagnetic compatibility.
