Robert R. P. Chase is currently a Research Specialist in the Ocean Engineering Department at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. His interests include the application of satellite remote sensing techniques to physical oceanographic research and the use of satellite platforms for effective communication of oceanographic data. He holds degrees in mechanical engineering, earth and space sciences, and received his Ph.D. in geophysical fluid dynamics from the University of Chicago in 1977.
