Richard F. Wayland (A'91) received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in physics from West Virginia University, Morgantown, in 1980 and 1984, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA, in 1989.
Since August 1989, he has been with the Naval Air Development Center in Warminster, PA. His research interests include inverse scattering theory, nonlinear dynamics, time series analysis, pattern recognition, and statistical signal processing. He has published a number of papers in nonlinear dynamics and pattern recognition.
