Jacques Châtillon was born in Lyon, France, in 1960. He received the M.Sc. degree from the University of St Etienne in 1982 and the Ph.D. degree from INSA-Lyon in 1994.
Since 1989, he has worked as a Research Engineer at the Laboratoire d'Acoustique Systèmes Signaux et SOnar (LASSSO) of the Ecole Supérieure de Chimie, Physique, Electronique de Lyon, while he was in charge of teaching electronics and acoustics. His main research work is related to wide-band underwater imaging systems, synthetic aperture sonar, and processing algorithms.
Dr. Châtillon is a member of the French Acoustical Society.
