K. Todd Holland received the B.S. degree in geology from Duke University, Durham, NC, in 1986 and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in marine geology from Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR, in 1995. His dissertation is entitled "Foreshore Dynamics: Swash Motions and Topographic Interactions on Natural Beaches."
He is presently a Project Scientist at the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) studying surfzone mine behavior and nearshore morphologic change using video techniques. Prior to his joining NRL, he also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Stennis Space Center, MS, and for five years as an Oceanographer with the U.S. Geological Survey in Reston, VA.
Dr. Holland is a member of the American Geophysical Union.
