Jörg Förster received the M.S. degree in physics from Christian-Albrechts University, Kiel, Germany, in 1988.After a period in industry, working on fluorescence spectroscopy, he joined the FWG in 1989. His present research interests are in sea surface physics, especially in the physics of rain and its induced effects on the ocean.
