Renzo A. Mosetti (S'77-M'79) was born in Trieste, Italy, on September 5, 1952. He received the Laurea degree in physics from Trieste University in 1977.In 1980 he joined the Osservatorio Geofisico Sperimentale in Trieste as a Researcher in the field of physical oceanography. His current interests are in the application of control theory to oceanography, optimization problems, modeling of marine ecosystems, and optimal resource management.
