Susan A. Digby-Argus received the B.A. degree in physical geography from McGill University, Montreal, Que., Canada, in 1972, the B.Ed. degree from Queen's University, Kingston, Ont., Canada, in 1973, and the M.A. degree with distinction in geography from Carleton University, Ottawa, Ont., Canada, in 1984. Her M.A. research was on a remote-sensing technique for taking seal census using radar and optical imagery to detect drainage patterns around breathing holes in sea ice of the high Arctic.She is currently with F. G. Bercha, Ontario, Ont., Canada, working in the Ice Applications group at RADARSAT, a division of the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing. With RADARSAT, she has been involved in surface observations and data analysis for microwave experiments in the high Arctic and the East Coast offshore. She also compiles and coedits the Ice Community Newsletter.
