Charles E. Stuart received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Duke University, Durham, NC, in 1963.
He has more than 25 years experience in undersea and antisubmarine warfare. He spent 15 years in industry before joining the Naval Ocean Research and Development Activity in 1978. Most recently he was Director of the Maritime Systems Technology Office at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency in Arlington VA.
Mr. Stuart was the 1995 recipient of the American Defense Preparedness Association's Bushnell Award for his contributions to Undersea Warfare.
