Dr. Ludwig H. Seidl is professor and chairman of the Department of Ocean Engineering, University of Hawaii, where he teaches marine hydrodynamics, dynamics of floating structures and naval architecture. In 1979 Dr. Seidl received a US patent on a SWATH ship design. Dr. Seidl is also the principal of OEC, Inc, a firm providing software for the analysis of the dynamics of vessels and moorings.
