Nicholas P. Chotiros (A'89) received the B.A. degree in engineering from Trinity College, Cambridge University, England, in 1973, and the Ph.D. degree in electronic and electrical engineering from The University of Birmingham, England, in 1981

He was a faculty member, with teaching and research duties while at The University of Birmingham. Since 1982, he has worked at the Applied Research Laboratories of The University of Texas at Austin, on research projects in underwater acoustics, including nonlinear acoustics, sonar signal processing, and ocean sediment acoustics.
