Evan K. Westwood received the B.A. degree from Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH, in 1981 and the M.S.E. degree and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1984 and 1988, respectively.
In 1984, he began work in the area of underwater acoustics at Applied Research Laboratories, University of Texas at Austin (ARL:UT). Since receiving his Ph.D. degree, he has continued to work as a Research Engineer at ARL:UT in the areas of acoustic propagation modeling using ray theory and normal mode theory, adaptive beamforming, array element localization, and source localization.
