Peter F. Blanchard received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, in 1986, where he is currently working towards the M.S. degree.He has worked at the Radar Systems and Remote Sensing Laboratory (RSL) of the University of Kansas since 1985, and also has been self-employed for four years as a Consultant for the computer modeling of thermal systems. At the RSL he has worked on the reduction of radar backscatter data from the Marginal Ice Zone Experiments (MIZEX) and has participated in experiments at the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratories (CRREL) in Hanover, NH. As part of his M.S. degree project he is currently developing at RSL a millimeter radar system at 94 GHZ for use in radar cross-section measurements.
Mr. Blanchard has served as Chairman of the University of Kansas IEEE Student Branch, and has been active in the HKN Electrical Engineering Honor Society.
