Barry J. Dawe received the Bachelor's and Master's degrees in electrical engineering from Memorial University, St. John's, NF, Canada, in 1982 and 1988, respectively. He has been with C-CORE since 1984 and is presently Group Leader of the Remote Sensing Group. He has been involved in all aspects of the development of Ground Wave Radar for applications including target detection, ice hazard detection, surface current, and sea-state measurement. He was responsible for developing a unique prototype GWR system at Cape Race Newfoundland and for the commercialization of this technology.
