Marc Andre Pinto graduated from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, Paris, in 1983. He received the Ph.D. degree in physics from Paris XI University in 1992.
From 1985 to 1989 he was a Research Engineer for Schlumberger Montrouge Research. In 1989 he joined Thomson-CSF, Brest, France. Since 1993, he has been responsible for the Signal Processing Group of the Thomson Sintra Activités Sous-Marines, Brest.
