Richard Estrada (M'69) was born in Philadelphia, PA, on September 18, 1943. He received the B.S.E.E. degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1965 and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley in 1969.

From 1969 to 1975, he was a Member of the Technical Staff at Bell Laboratories, in Whippany, NJ, working on sonar signal processing problems. Since 1975, he has been with Bolt Beranek and Newman, Inc., in Cambridge, MA. At BBN he has continued his signal processing work and has also been involved in the design and implementation of complex data analysis systems.
