Eric Lamarre received the B.Eng. degree in civil engineering and applied mechanics in 1988 from McGill University, Montreal.

He is currently working towards a Ph.D. in the MIT/WHOI joint program in civil and oceanographic engineering. His research interests include air entrainment in breaking waves, underwater sound propagation, long-wave-short-wave interaction, and radar altimetry.
