Evelyne Dubois received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in pure mathematics in 1990 and 1991, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Nice, Nice, France, in 1997, where her work focused on the application of global optimization methods to underwater acoustic problems.
She worked at Thomson Marconi Sonar in the Advanced Sonar Studies team in 1992, where she contributed to the study and optimization of a parametric antenna. Then, she joined the Acoustical Studies Laboratory in 1993. The subject of her current research is the improvement of global optimization methods such as generic algorithms or simulated annealing to be applied to engineering problems.
