Pierre Menard was born in Glen Robertson, Ont., Canada, in 1954. He graduated from Carleton University, Ottawa, Ont., with the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in electronics engineering in 1976 and 1977, respectively.He was employed by Carleton University between 1977 and 1979 as a Research Engineer for work in charge transfer devices and signal processing. In 1980 he cofounded Interactive Circuits and Systems (ICS) Limited, Ottawa, Ont. Since forming ICS, he has been primarily involved in technical management. He has authored over a dozen technical papers and holds a patent to his credit.
