David E. L. Millan was born in Dublin, Ireland, in 1959. He received the B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering from the Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John's, NF, Canada, in 1982.From 1982 to 1983 he was involved with writing image processing software for Remotec Inc. From 1984 to 1991 he was employed by Nordco Limited and finished as Manager Electrical/Electronic/Computer Systems Design. He is currently in charge of Data Acquisition Systems for the Centrifuge Centre at C-CORE-Centre for Cold Ocean Resources Engineering.
