Edward Y. T. Kuo received the B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, the M.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, and the Ph.D. degree in applied fluid mechanics from the University of Connecticut, Storrs.

Since 1983, he has been working for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Detachment, New London, CT. He has extensive research experience in the fields of ocean waves, pollutant diffusion, and underwater acoustics.
