Peter D. Herstein received the B.S.E.P. degree from Cornell University in 1971 and the M.S.O.E. degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1976. He is presently the Senior Scientist for the Development Systems Project Office at NUSC. He joined the Naval Underwtaer Systems Center (NUSC), New London, CT in 1972. His research has been in the application of environmental acoustics and signal processing to the development of Navy sonar systems.Mr. Herstein is a member of the Acoustical Society of America, and the Military Operations Research Society.
