Gary A. Ransford received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in physics from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Terre Haute, IN, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in planetary geophysics from the University of California, Los Angeles.He is currently with Sverdrup Technology, NSTL, MS. Prior to this, he was an Associate Professor of Physics and member of the Geophysical Research Laboratory of the University of New Orleans, New Orleans, LA. He was an Aerospace Engineer at the Johnson Space Center, and after that, a member of the Technical Staff of the California Institute of Technology/Jet Propulsion Lab. His research interests include acoustic positioning and orientation, image processing, and analysis software.
Dr. Ransford is a member of the American Astronomical Society and the American Geophysical Union.
