Mark A. Grosenbaugh received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Stanford University, Stanford, CA, in 1976 and 1983, respectively, and the Ph.D. Degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1987.
Since 1987, he has been at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Woods Hole, MA, where he is currently an Associate Scientist and J. Seward Johnson Chair in the Department of Applied Ocean Physics and Engineering. His research interests are hydrodynamic modeling of ocean vehicles, dynamics of oceanographic moorings, vortex-induced vibrations of marine cables, and fish propulsion.
