Thomas H. Orsi received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in geology from the University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, in 1986 and 1989, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in oceanography from Texas A&M University, College Station.
He attended Texas A&M University as an Office of Naval Research (ONR) Fellow following receipt of the National Defense Science and Engineering Grant (NDSEG). He is a Senior Scientist at Planning Systems Incorporated, Slidell, LA. His research interests include high-frequency acoustics and fine-scale geoacoustic characterization of seafloor sediments.
Dr. Orsi is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Society for Exploration Geophysicists.
