Clark B. Freise received the B.S. degree in oceanography from the United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD, in 1986 and the M.S. degree in physical oceanography from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology/Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Joint Program, Woods Hole, in 1988.
He served as a Meteorological and Oceanographic Forecaster for naval forces in the Gulf of Aqaba during Desert Shield and as the Navy's Ice Reconnaissance Officer prior to reporting to the Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, DC, in 1992. He departed the naval service in 1994, and now is an Oceanographer and Program Manager in the Naval Research Laboratory Remote Sensing Division.
