Steven C. Nardone (S'77-M'78) received the B.S.E.E., M.S.E.E., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, in 1972, 1974, and 1982, respectively.

He is currently Professof of Electrical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, North Dartmouth, MA, and has served as Acting Department Chairperson (1993). He has held positions with ARINC Research Corp., Annapolis, MD (1974 to 1976), and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, RI (1977-1984). His research interests are in control and estimation theory, signal processing, fuzzy set theory, and evidential reasoning. He has worked on the target motion and analysis problem, GPS navigation algorithms, and optical waveguides.
