P. S. Naidu received the Ph.D. degree from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, B.C., Canada, in 1965.He worked for the Geological Survey of Canada and at Dalhousie University, Halifax, N.S., Canada, as a postdoctoral fellow. In 1969 he joined the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, where he is now a Professor in the Department of Electrical Communication Engineering. His research interests are in underwater signal processing, geophysical signal processing, and coherent optical computers.
