Walter S. Simmons, a Senior Program Manager with ScienceApplications International Inc., has over 20 years experience in hydrographic surveyi ng, shorel i ne mappi ng and navi gati on charting. Mr. Simmons served as Chief Hydrographer for the NOAA Survey Project. He is certified as Inshore and Offshore Hydrographer, and has directed NOAA hydrographic surveys in Alaska, Hawaii, the Atlantic coastal area and the Great Lakes. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University and a Master of Science degree from George Washington University.
