Bernd Nützel received the degree 'Ing. (grad.)' in communication engineering from Fachhochschule Kiel in 1972 and the degree "Diplomingenieur" in electrical engineering from Technische Universität Berlin in 1976.Since he joined FWG in 1978, he has been involved in channel reverberation in shallow water, sea surface backscattering, and scattering and absorption from bubbles in the near-surface layer. His recent research includes radar remote sensing techniques and the development of measurement methods.
