Raymond B. Hennebury (M'72) was born in Whitman, MA, in 1943. He received the B.A. degree in physics from Northeastern University, Boston, MA, in 1966. He has taken graduate courses in electrical engineering at Cleveland State University, Cleveland, OH, and attended seminars in underwater acoustics at Catholic University, Washington, DC, BB&N, Boston, MA, and NUSC/NLL.From 1963 to 1965 he worked as a co-op student at Harris, ASW, Westwood, MA, developing and improving in-process test techniques for sonar transducers. From 1966 to 1970 he worked at Raytheon Submarine Signal Division, Portsmouth, RI, as an Engineer in the Acoustics Department. He was involved in the design and testing of various sonar transducers. From 1970 to 1979 he worked at Gould Ocean Systems Division, Cleveland, OH, as an Engineer and Senior Engineer on the MK-48 torpedo program. In 1979 he returned to Raytheon as a Senior Engineer in the Acoustics Department. He is presently Section Manager of the Transducer Support Section responsible for all fabrication and electroacoustic testing of engineering transducers.
Mr. Hennebury is a member of the Narragansett Chapter of the Acoustical Society of America.
